Two crazy fool brothers’ dreams of having an A Team Van suddenly became reality!
Let us introduce ourselves, we are Liam and Jerome Brett and many years ago we had a crazy idea of owning an A Team Van. After a lot of hard work and with help from our family and friends we not only own one but have built one of the best UK replicas – and what a ride it has been!
The Van itself is a 1982 G Series Cargo Van with one previous owner from new. We sourced and imported it from Vermont USA. We then spent nearly a year transforming it and bought all the parts needed for this transformation from California, New Jersey, Atlanta and New York State to make the van as genuine as possible.
We refurbished the inside of the van to the highest of standards and have received awards from American Car Magazines and various shows which we have attended throughout the UK.
We have also been featured in the East Anglian Daily Times, Anglia TV, Heart FM, BBC Radio Essex, Retro Cars magazine, Classic American magazine, American Carworld magazine and Chat magazine.
We have even starred on the special A Team themed edition of the BBC One Show, on which Mr T was their special guest. He autographed our van which was amazing.
We also set about building the world’s first Faceman Corvette replica which took around six months to complete, transforming the interior and exterior.
We were approached by Collectormania TV & Movie Co for a weekend show at the Ricoh Arena where A Team star Dirk Benedict was signing autographs and having his photo taken with fans. He signed both our vehicles which was fantastic. We have also met Lance Le Gault who plays Colonel Decker and he signed the Van’s interior.
The Van and car were displayed at some of the UK’s top arena’s including Earls Court Arena, Birmingham NEC and London Excel on behalf of Memorabilia & Twentieth Century Fox for promotion of the A Team Movie.
"We loved it when the plan came together."
